How Pallet Delivery
UK Works

First, you’ll need to select the correct size from our standard pallet sizes. (If you have bulky or oversized freight, please contact us for bespoke assistance.) Our standard sizes are a full pallet at 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.44m high with a maximum weight of 1,250kg, a half pallet at 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m high with a maximum weight of 500kg and finally, a quarter pallet at 1.2m x 1.2m x 1m high with a maximum weight of 250kg. Measure carefully as our half pallets are taller than most distributors, so you can ship tall, light freight with us at a fraction of the cost. This can add up to extensive savings over multiple deliveries.

Next, you’ll need to choose your service options. For all pallet delivery UK bookings, we offer tail-lifts and economy bookings free as standard. If you require a timed delivery, next day or weekend delivery, this is offered at an extra charge. Best of all? You can track your consignment via the ePOD system from starting postcode to finishing postcode for a better piece of mind.

About Kerbside
Pallet Delivery UK

All pallet delivery UK consignments are delivered to the nearest flat, hard and accessible location at the destination. At that point, we’ll ask you to sign for the consignment and the pallet becomes your responsibility. This also means we can’t leave the pallets on gravel or take them through gates. We’re also not able to help you bring the goods indoors. So, it’s a great idea to bring a second person to help you with the delivery.

You will be able to track the consignment during its transport so you’ll know its expected arrival date. We always recommend that clients make arrangements to meet the driver. And bring someone along to help you unload the goods indoors. This is especially useful in cases of inclement weather or group-lift weight classes. You may want to have a hand truck or forklift available to speed up the delivery process.

The 4S Distribution Fleet

When thinking about costs for your consignment, it’s a good idea to keep in mind how many pallets each vehicle can carry. Our fleet consists of 7.5-tonne rigid lorries (with tail-lift), 18-tonne rigid lorries (with tail-lift), 26-tonne rigid lorries (with tail-lift), 44-tonne rigid lorries (with tail-lift), single and double-deck trailers.

As you can see, capacity varies per truck. So, refer to the handy guide below to help you know how many pallets will fit. And if you’ll need double-stacking or solo hire for your booking:
